Christie Viviers [B. Juris, LLB]
Christie completed his studies at the University of Port Elizabeth in 1979 and spent two years of national service in the SA Defence Force as a legal officer. He was employed by the Department of Justice until 1988 where he progressed to senior state advocate in the office of the Director for Public Prosecutions in Cape Town. He joined Faure & Faure to complete his articles in 1990 and became a director of the firm in 1991. Christie is responsible for litigation, family & marriage law, and civil litigation in the Magistrate’s Court and High Court. He carries out legal work in the Criminal Court, Magistrate’s Court, Regional Court and High Court. He is also the Director responsible for debt collecting. Christie is active in community affairs and for the past 18 years he has been on the board of Sunfield Wellington, a home for mentally challenged adults. He has also served as the Chairman of Sunfield for 11 years. He is a former Director and Chairman of the Paarl Golf Club and currently serves as their President.
