On Tuesday 28 January 2020 the 84th annual Faure Cup Foursomes competition was played at Paarl Golf Club on Boschenmeer Estate. The Faure Cup was donated by JC Faure in 1936, a former partner and son of the founder of Faure & Faure, Sir Pieter Hendrik Faure.
Our firm has remained an avid sponsor of this prestigious and annual event for 25 years. The event which forms part of the Ladies Golf calendar, provides a platform for members of the firm to engage in a relaxing albeit competitive game of Golf with Ladies members, their partners and clients and friends of the firm.
We are truly proud of keeping such traditions and values alive particularly as we are celebrating our 140th anniversary. As a firm steeped in the heritage of Paarl, we remain committed to social participation of the highest order.
Participants came from far and wide to compete for the renowned and prestigious Faure Cup. The event was a huge success and all of us at Faure and Faure are honored that so many were a part of it.
It was a day well spent on the beautiful course at Paarl Golf Club. It was a perfect day for golf and the weather was warm and sunny with a pleasant breeze. The positive feedback from all participants was pleasing to say the least.
We wish to thank every golfer who participated in this special event. We are thrilled to sponsor the prizes and spend time with the participants. Our thanks to the Club Captain, Helaine Strydom and her committee who organized the day and provided the elegant décor at the prizegiving.
