Celebrating Women’s Month: Elna Tipps

Faure & Faure Inc. is celebrating its 140th anniversary in 2020. Founded in 1880, it has served the Boland community with success over the past 6 generations.

Excellent service by its employees is one of the main reasons why Faure & Faure Inc. managed to remain a pillar of strength in the community. Our employees have faithfully and loyally stood by the firm over the years.

One such employee, of whom we are extremely proud, is Elna Tipps.

Career leading to Faure & Faure Inc. Attorneys

In 1989 Elna returned to the then Hoffman & Van Tonder Attorneys, having been been in their employment a few years earlier. This is the same year that Zane Meyer, one of our directors, started his clerkship with that firm. Elna’s meticulous skills as bookkeeper became an essential part of that firm and remained so until the merger of the by then Hoffman Meyer Attorneys with Faure & Faure Inc. in 1996. As a sign of the enduring relationship that our staff have with Faure & Faure Inc., Ingrid Carstens, who was employed with Hoffman and Van Tonder when the merger happened, is also still in our employment.

Elna became office manager shortly after that and her dedication, perseverance and accounting skills have been of immense value. A solid and efficient bookkeeping department is the backbone of any law firm and with Elna at the helm, we have had the satisfaction of knowing that our clients and ourselves are in safe hands.

Having 32 years of unbroken service is no mean feat and for this we extend our gratitude to Elna.
