Benedict grew up in Wellington and matriculated at Bridge House College in 2011. He was the captain of the first rugby team and served on the SRC of the school. In 2016 he completed his LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape. Currently he is busy completing his Master’s Degree (LLM) in human rights focusing on international family law as well as the rights of children. Benedict was appointed as a Candidate Attorney in January 2018 at Faure & Faure Inc. and admitted as Attorney on 6 March 2020. He is involved in the community project, Dare to Dream the Impossible. His hobbies include reading, specifically about the history of South Africa as well as biographies of Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Dikgang Moseneke, Albie Sachs etc.
